Disabling the Autosave Feature on Wordpress

One of the features of Wordpress (version 2.5 to 2.7) is the Autosave feature. Many bloggers might find this feature attractive and swear by it’s functionality, since it allows to track changes in a post. I, however find it very annoying, and want to disable it.
